Measurement While Drilling (MWD) technology is used for wellbore surveying during directional drilling operations. It provides real-time data on the wellbore's position, inclination, and azimuth, helping to guide the drilling process.
Boost-MP is a line of mud pulse tools developed by Tooltronix. It uses pressure pulses in the drilling fluid to transmit data from downhole sensors to the surface. This data helps operators monitor and control the drilling process.
EM is shorthand for electromagnetic, and refers to the method of data transmission that is used on some downhole tools used in directional drilling. The signal is generated using low frequency electromagnetic waves, sent up from downhole, decoded by surface transceivers and attempts to guide drillers to the target.
Flash-DT is a unique tool developed by Tooltronix in collaboration with another vendor. It combines the mud pulse and EM systems to improve downhole survival and deliver even more data to the surface, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of directional drilling operations.
